I noticed you tag everything as "acrylic". Does that mean you're using semi-opauqe paint or acrylic ink?

I've been using acrylic paint! I thin it with water for the big washes and keep the paint thick for more opaque applicatons

I don't think it's overdeaigned at all!
I do think there could be so clarity in the design. Their collar and chest look like one piece initially. Maybe getting rid of the collar and making the chest fur flare out like a collar would work better!
